The "winner" will have covered travel and accomodation (in the limit of 1500E) !
Eligible persons are current PhD students or postdocs having defended their thesis after March, 15, 2016. If you wish to apply, please send us your resume and a 2 page summary of your researches on viral dynamics by March, 15.
Look forward to seeing you all in Paris !
The workshop will continue the bi-annual meeting series previously organized in Frankfurt (2013), Toronto (2015) and Heidelberg (2017). The workshop brings together virologists and immunologists with statisticians, mathematical modelers and system biologists to discuss current approaches and challenges for quantitative analyses of host-pathogen interactions and antiviral treatment. This year, the meeting will also include sessions on the third day on quantitative immunology with a special focus on approaches to optimize response to vaccines.
We are very happy to already have a number of confirmed speakers, including Alan Perelson, James Whitney, Thomas Hofer, Rob de Boer, Becca Asquith, Max von Kleist, Ruy Ribeiro, Jacqueline Marvel, Rodolphe Thiébaut and Asier Saez-Cirion.
In addition to this prestigious program we would like you to submit a proposal for invited sessions (see attached). If you have a topic of interest that you would like to see discussed, you can propose a list of 3-4 speakers (including yourself or people in your group of course) and send it to us by March, 15.
The registration and general call for abstracts will be open in March-April, and the attendance will be capped to 80 people to maintain the tradition of easy and unformal interactions. Our budget has not been yet finalized but we will do our best to propose a discounted price or few travel grants for students.
